The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - Season 1

WATCH: Will Ferrell And Chad Smith (RHCP) Have A Drum-Off

Though I do not usually watch The Tonight Show, I find myself hearing more and more about the funny contests Jimmy Fallon has on his show. Quite a few of them seem to have to deal with music, and his most recent effort certainly falls under that category.

His brand new episode features all around funny guy Will Ferrell pitted against his musical doppelganger Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers in a “traditional” drum-off. The idea spawned from a Reddit AMA that took place in February when Ferrell addressed his and Smith’s shared likeness, something that’s been noted …

Filling out the band’s lineup is Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and former The Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch, who has also recently resurfaced in the metal supergroup Killer Be Killed.

In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, dated April 24, Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer is interviewed by Rob Tannenbaum, according to a scan of the magazine from RHCP fansite The feature touches on the band’s upcoming work:

We’ve got some songs written already, some of which will definitely be on the [new] album. The amazing thing about the band is that we always keep evolving, but what we’ve been really keen on is taking our best elements and keep them rolling forwards. It’s looking like we’ll have something out around September time. I’m really

Red Hot Chili Peppers And Bruno Mars To Cover Led Zeppelin At Super Bowl

Over the past decade, Super Bowl half-time shows have run the gamut from massive spectacle to tame and uninspired.
