Stream Sleater-Kinney’s New Album, ‘No Cities To Love’

No Cities To Love is the fresh, new full-length album from rock and roll trio, Sleater-Kinney. Scheduled for a January 20 release, the ten-track offering is a result of steadfast efforts of the trio to make a record only when they felt like the timing, along with everything else in their lives, was right. They took their time, alright. No Cities To Love serves as the successor to their last record, The Woods, which was released all the way back in 2005, a few months before they announced their ten-year-long hiatus.

Turn Blue

REVIEW: The Black Keys – ‘Turn Blue’

Artist: The Black Keys
Album: Turn Blue
Genre: Rock
Label: Nonesuch Records

Before getting into the bulk of my review of The Black Keys’ Turn Blue, I’d like to get something out of the way.

So we’ll start at the end, where the 11-track album closes with the completely tacked-on country-rock tune “Gotta Get Away,” a track so lazy and misplaced that even given its proper home on a recent Kid Rock release, would still be that record’s worst song.

So, yeah, it’ll probably be their biggest hit yet.

UTG INTERVIEW: Band Of Skulls Talk ‘Himalayan’ @ SXSW

Longing — the battle to define rock n’ roll is best described through this word. It’s not tangible, it’s not something that can be put into a group of words and written down on a piece of paper. It’s something you feel, something you hear, something you experience. You know rock n’ roll when it happens…and you embrace it. You fantasize over it, you relish the idea of holding it in your hands, of possessing it. But rock n’ roll is not a possession, not a material item — it’s something thrown into the universe to be shared with all …
