[Please] Kickstart The Forecast’s New Album

Kickstarter has become a very, very flooded realm of talented people asking for money. We’re sure there are many worthy accounts with great pitch videos, but consider this post our plead that your cash goes to kickstart The Forecast’s next album.

Hailing from Illinois and somehow surviving a deal with Victory Records without imploding, The Forecast have again and again delivered meaningful music to the masses. Now, the group is hoping to raise $8000 by mid-November to record their next release and we hope you’ll find it in your heart (and pocket) to help.

Review: The Forecast – The Forecast

Artist: The Forecast
Album: The Forecast
Genre: Indie Folk Rock
Label: Eyeball

After being dropped by Victory Records, Illinois’ The Forecast took a step back from the national spotlight to focus on becoming a better band. Following a couple years without heavy touring and a self released EP comprised mainly of alternate versions and covers, the group signed with the legendary Eyeball Records and began recording their recently released self-titled third full length. Taking the alternative folk elements of in The Shadow of Two Gunman and adding a much more expansive and energetic rock flare to it, the group makes …

3. May You One Day [Carry Me Home] (acoustic)
4. And We All Return To Our Roots (acoustic)

To say I was heartbroken when The Forecast parted ways with Victory Records last would be an understatement. Though I figured it was what was best for the country laced rock band, I didn’t know if we’d hear from them ever again. Here we are just over a year since the split from their …
