Trivium Release “Until The World Goes Cold” Video

We still have over a month until Trivium drop their new studio album, but that isn’t stopping the metal titans from sharing another single from the highly-anticipated release.

Showcasing a mid-tempo side from Silence In The Snow, “Until The World Goes Cold” is as close to a power ballad as Trivium will ever release. That isn’t to say it’s a love song, but it does swing a big emotional hammer with driving guitars and Matt Heafy’s powerful vocals. I dare say this is the best he has sounded when singing, and it makes me excited to hear what …

Trivium May Be Preparing To Release Their Best Album Yet

Here’s a harsh truth that is tough for any industry professional to accept: Lasting more than five years in music today is an accomplishment for artists in any genre, but managing to stay relevant while changing your sound is something only a select few ever pull off. Trivium, for better or worse, have done exactly as they pleased for over a decade and fans have stuck by their side through it all. If the group’s latest singles are any signs of what lies on the horizon, it seems longtime supporters may be on the verge of hearing the album …

Singapore’s Avalanche Bring The Heavy With “Plaster Saint”

I love discovering international bands that tackle a sound refined in North America and make it entirely their own. It’s a feat that goes to show the amazing reach and power music has, regardless of nationality, and the latest band to knock me on my ass with their amazing technical prowess is none other than Singapore export Avalanche.

“Plaster Saint” is the kind of crazy, shred-tastic song that is impossible to resist if you’re a fan of modern metalcore. It has the bouncy bass line that runs rampant in today’s scene, only now it has been coupled with the type …

Trivium Let Go Of Drummer Nick Augusto

It’s always a bummer when a band is forced to part ways with one of their members, but as we all know, sometimes this course of action is necessary in order to preserve the art being made. It seems that this is the case with Trivium, who just yesterday announced that they would be moving forward without drummer Nick Augusto.

Augusto joined the Orlando outfit following the departure of Travis Smith, the group’s original drummer, back in 2010. For the remainder of their current tour, Trivium have called upon their drum tech Mat Madiro to fill-in, although his long-term …

Rockstar Mayhem Festival Announces 2014 Lineup

After months of rumors, speculation and leaks, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has officially announced the official lineup for the 2014 edition of the tour. Officially. The trek will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold, who, surprisingly enough, are playing the festival for the first time, save for a few guest appearances in 2010. They’ll be joined on the main stage by frequently recycled Mayhem acts Korn, Asking Alexandria and Trivium.

But as usual, most of the fun will be had on the side stages, where the wide array of attractions include death metal veterans Cannibal Corpse, Ice …

Trivium Release “Strife” Video

Trivium continue to forge ahead on their promotional run toward the October release of Vengeance Falls this morning with the release of the official music video for “Strife.”

Created using a mix of nature footage and well-edited performance shots, the video for “Strife” found its way online this morning via our friends at Revolver. The video is the first off Vengeance Falls, and it does a fine job of supporting the original tracks without ever being all that creative.

“Strife” is the first single off Vengeance Falls to see a proper promotion push, and to be perfectly honest …

Holy shit, metalheads. Wednesday is about to become your favorite day of the (current) week.

Trivium are continuing to roll out the promotional efforts for the forthcoming album, and earlier today a new track entitled “Brave This Storm” found its way online via the band’s ridiculously well designed new site. The song is the same teased during last week’s album reveal, and the full version is even more epic than the teaser lead you to believe. Trivium Frontman Writes About Suicide Prevention

Trivium frontman Matt Heafy recently came across an opinion piece on CNN‘s website written by a woman, Dorothy Paugh, who lost who son to suicide by gun just over a year ago. In the image accompanying the piece, Paugh’s son can be seen wearing a Trivium t-shirt. Heafy was so moved by the woman’s story, which can be read here, that he felt compelled to write a message to fans about suicide, taking steps to prevent it, and his own struggles with depression. You can read his thoughts below:

This story breaks my heart. The hidden pain that
