There’s been a lot of talk regarding who 22-year-old rapper Young Thug is signed to, and now Billboard is claiming he isn’t signed to Young Money like we thought, but rather the original 1017 Brick Squad/Atlantic listing.

Young Thug signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad back in 2013, but he recently talks like he’s an unsigned musician. During a SiriusXM interview, he said he was a part of Future’s Freebandz label; when talking with a reporter, he said he had signed to Cash Money; when “Stoner” first began charting in February, no label was listed.

Young Thug Allegedly Signs With Young Money

The hype surrounding up and coming Atlanta emcee Young Thug has risen to a deafening point of insanity in recent months. Now, according to at least one major hip-hop blog, the “2 Cups Stuffed” rapper is poised for even bigger things thanks to a new deal with Young Money Records.

According to Mass Appeal, who briefly spoke with Young Thug following a recent performance, Thugga Thugga has confirmed he is now a member of Young Money Records. When asked point blank about the truth behind rumors of the deal, Thug allegedly replied “Yeah I signed.”

AFI Signs Onto Republic Records

You heard it from us, AFI have signed to Republic Records to release their ninth full length album later this fall. The record, which has yet to have been titled, was recorded in Los Angeles’ East West Studios with Gil Norton and Andrew Scheps.

Pro snowboarder Shaun White’s new band BAD THINGS have signed to Warner Bros. UTG does not know a lot about the group but we do have a song stream of “Caught Inside” provided through the jump. You can expect a bunch of news on the forthcoming release to hit our radar in the near future.

Limp Bizkit signs to Cash Money Records

It appears Limp Bizkit has found yet another way to stay relavent by hopping on the Cash Money Records bandwagon. In a radio interview with Kiss FM, Young Money Entertainment Founder Lil Wayne confirmed the signing, hinting that R&B singer Ashanti might be the next name on the YMCMB roster. Fred Durst has responded by Twitter today confirming that this news is, in fact, truth.

Misser Signs to Rise Records, Begins Recording

For those who are still unaware, Misser is the side project of Transit vocal/guitarist Tim Landers and This Time Next Year vocal/guitarist Brad Wiseman. The duo released an EP in 2011 called Problems. Problems. Problems. (on iTunes) which received positive reviews.

Today it was announced that the band was officially signed by Rise Records and has plans to release a full length album this year. Anchor and Braille Recording New Record

Things are moving right along for Anberlin side-project, Anchor and Braille. Singer Stephen Christian conveyed via Twitter today that recording a new record was underway and that the project had been signed to a label.  Recording will occur in Nashville, TN.

The new album will feature a few musicians playing different instruments. John Bucklew (States, Copeland) will appear playing drums and Micah Tawlks, with whom he co-wrote several A&B songs, on guitar. It appears that Aaron March (Copeland) is not involved in the production of this record.

If you’re an Early November fan, your week just peaked.

Rise Records has announced the signing of The Early November. The group is currently The Living Room Studio in Hammonton, NJ, with a release tentatively slated for this Spring.

News of the signing comes only a few weeks after The Early November announced a series of what most believed to be reunion shows along the East Coast. When news of the shows went public, there was no hints of a signing or new album.
