Artist: Four Year Strong Album: In Some Way, Shape, Or Form Genre: Pop Rock/Punk Label: Decaydance/Universal Motown Excuse me while I start this review with a bold statement. You know this whole Pop Punk resurgence that’s been growing over the last 18 months or so? Well it’s going to end. I don’t know when, but […]

It’s clear the past year of ups and downs has impacted nearly every aspect of the sound, but […]

REVIEW: Hello Hollywood – The Loveliest

Artist: Hello Hollywood Album: The Loveliest Genre: Pop-rock Label: [unsigned] The Loveliest is, in general, a polished and shiny pop rock release, chock full of yearning love songs and cheerful meditations on life and sentiment. It’s grand, as one would say colloquially here in Ireland – not exactly my cup of tea but sure to […]

Move Out West announce US tour

Move Out West are quickly becoming one of the biggest unsigned acts in America and their fall touring schedule may just be the push they need to break through. On top of recently signing with Twilight Records in Japan, Move Out West have announced slew of tour dates with Phone Calls From Home, New County, […]

REVIEW: Highways – Enjoy The Little Things EP

Enjoy the Little Things will undoubtedly set the market on fire but unless you’re really into this sort of more-is-more pop punk stuff steer well clear. Buckley has some potential but really needs guidance to prevent her voice shooting off into screech territory, and the music could be improved upon if they’d only learn how to take things a little easier.”

REVIEW: Paradise Fears – Yours Truly

Yours Truly is a sprightly experience, one that certainly makes a valiant effort to take your breath away. It could be just me that didn’t quite react in any definitive way, as there is plenty of promise and some very enjoyable tunes here, particularly the title one. I just can’t figure out whether it’s sincere and lovable, or slightly turgid. Either way, probably best to take it at face value and play on. Give it a spin for cheeriness alone.”
