Jeff Mangum returns to the stage (seriously!)

If you love indie music in any way, shape, or form then you most likely know the name Jeff Mangum better than that of members of your extended family Mangum, the mastermind behind Neutral Milk Hotel, has been infamously silent on the music scene for many years, until now. According to sources, Mangum performed a secret show last night in Brooklyn for about 75 people and performed 10 NMH songs. Click here to audio of five songs from Mangum’s performance. No information has been released to say or even hint that this performance will lead to more shows or another album, but it’s something and that’s more than fans have had for awhile.

The return of Michelle Branch

After six years of floating around the industry, Michelle Branch will release her new solo album, Everything Comes and Goes late this fall on Reprise/Warner Bros. Her new single, “Sooner or Later” will premiere on Itunes this week and hit Country radio in August.
