Foxy Shazam has been chosen to play SPIN magazine’s annual SXSW party at Stubb’s on Friday, March 19th, alongside Hole, Sharon Jones, Rogue Wave and more. Previously, SPIN selected the Ohio rockers as one of their “10 to Watch in 2010,” saying “their songs glitter like diamonds and kick like mules.”

Party-goers can get a taste of Foxy’s notoriously rambunctious live show, and hear a preview of their upcoming major label debut. The self-titled release, due out on Sire Records April 13th, pulls from influences as varied as Marvin Gaye, Elton John and “Born To Run”-era Bruce Springsteen and is an amalgam of blues, soul, and brash pop bound by a no holds barred punk-rock aesthetic.
