EP Stream: Call It Karma

Over the past few years, Michigan has slowly become home to a sound that’s only been found in music for the past decade. Blending the scream/sing style of post hardcore and scream with additional melody in the form of synthesizer, a genre with no name was born. Some called it electro-core, others brocore, but whatever it is, bands like i See Stars and We Came As Romans have firmly cemented its place in the current music scene. Now, hoping to carry this mitten state legacy well into 2011 is Call It Karma, a rising Royal Oak based act whose brand new EP, Good Morning, Insomnia, can be streamed EXCLUSIVELY here on UTG!

We first heard this release in Mid-December and haven’t been able to turn away since. Combining just enough synth/”trance” elements with equal parts heart and chug, we’re convinced it’ll be hard for any fan of this genre to talent this young act possesses. PLEASE, if you like what you hear, be sure and tell the band (or buy a copy for yourself).

We think this is going to be a HUGE year for Call It Karm and hope you agree.

Enjoy.
