Diplo teams up with Legitmix for ‘Mad Legit’

Sampling legend and mixmaster Diplo has unleashed a brand new project that looks to transform the world of sampling as we know it. He has teamed up with the company Legitmix, that allows musicians to legally sample music from other artists, sell it, without dealing with the hectic sample-clearing process. In an effort to spread to word of Legitmix, Diplo has teamed up with the company to release his own 40-minute mash of all sampled tracks from the program. This particular DJ mix sells for $3 (plus the cost of the 14 copyrighted tracks that the mix uses) and features 9 remixes. Listen to a sample how Diplo’s creation and how Legitmix is run exactly.
