We do our best to cover as much music news as we can at UTG, but a complaint we often receive is the lack of mainstream rock news. It isn’t a personal thing, honestly, we just have a hard time finding bands in this genre that realy merit coverage. Generally speaking, bands are either aging rock legends who haven’t embraced the immediacy of social media or struggling rising acts that only imitate the aforementioned legends. None of this really warrants news and so, we don’t post any.
Things change though and recently we found a band and album that reignited not only my love of real rock and roll, but that of the entire staff. Pop Evil’s War Of Angels is, without a doubt, the most honest and accessible rock record of the year. We loved it so much in fact, we rushed out and scheduled an interview with group to discuss the record.
So without further ado, click below to stream and/or download Editor James Shotwell’s interview with Pop Evil’s guitarist Tony Greve and tour drummer Joshua “Chachi” Marunde.
As we mentioned earlier, Pop Evil recently released their new album War Of Angels. Click here to buy your copy.
Pop Evil also recently release a video for the single “Monster You Made.” Check it out below:
