Adam Levine speaks to OUT Magazine

The Maroon 5 frontman and judge on the hit NBC show, The Voice, Adam Levine has recently become a household name. He has been this platform to express his opinions to a wider audience, such as in his recent interview with OUT magazine.

In the interview, Levine doesn’t hold back, criticizing American Idol for stifling the competitors’ sexuality, as well as speaking about his own gay brother. Levine says,

What’s always pissed me off about ‘Idol’ is wanting to mask that, for [sexuality] to go unspoken. C’mon. You can’t be publicly gay? At this point? On a singing competition? Give me a break. can single-handedly dispel any ideas that sexuality is acquired. Trust me, you’re born with it. My brother is gay, and we knew when he was two.
