Rumors have been flying for awhile now that Lou Reed and Metallica were working on something big. We still don’t know what the project is, or even what it will be called, but we now have a website and I guess that’s better than nothing.

Earlier today, www.loureedmetallica.com made its way onto our radar and while the site itself may seem empty, there is more than meets the eye to be found. If you dig around the site’s source code, you find the page has been tagged both “avant-rock” and “thrash metal.” Further, there is also a hidden pull quote from Rolling Stone that reads “It was an improbable match: Lou Reed’s cutting-monotone voice and explicit stories of desire and despair, lashed to Metallica’s apocalyptic charge. It is now a perfect fit.”
