DJ Mehdi’s cause of death revealed

Details emerged today, Wednesday Sept. 14, about the shocking death of French electro producer DJ Mehdi. The popular DJ died at the age of 34 on Tuesday when he was fatally injured after falling from the roof of his Paris home.

According to Liberation Next, Mehdi suffered fatal injuries when a skylight in the Plexiglas floor of his Paris apartment shattered, plummeting the DJ and three of his friends 7 meters down. The three unidentified friends were sent to the hospital as well. One of Mehdi’s publicists said the party at the DJ’s home was a birthday party for pal DJ Riton.

The Paris Social Club where Mehdi often spun closed its doors on Tuesday night in honor of the DJ.

“Following the death of DJ Mehdi, we have made the exceptional decision to close the club tonight,” read a post on the club’s Facebook page. “An evening of silence in honor of the artist. Thank you for not commenting on this status.”
