Ohio’s Mixtapes are following in the footsteps of Say Anything’s Max Bemis and will be opening a custom song shop for fans this coming Monday.

Mixtapes first played with the song shop idea on Thursday, posting on Facebook, “So i was thinking of doing this song shop thing like the dude from Say Anything except instead of 150 bucks you pay us 10 bucks I’ll write an acoustic ditty about whatever you want and you’ll get the song and instead of a phone call from me, I’m just gonna have one of my random friends call you, anyone into this idea?” This was met with a huge response from fans, garnering over 136 Likes by the time of this post.

On Saturday, the group updated fans again with the announcement “Ok the song shop will officially open Monday! Everything is almost set up, I can’t even wait to see what some of you weirdos come up with, from ridiculous to serious!”

UTG highly encourages all of you to support Mixtapes by having them create you a personalized song. If you decide to do so, feel free to pass an mp3 along to us and we’ll share your song with the world!
