Sigur Ros End Hiatus, Plan New Album For Spring 2012

Indie folk act Sigur Ros have ended the hiatus they began in late 2008 and announced plans for a new record to hit shelves in early 2012.

News of the reunion broke earlier today via the Wall Street Journal (which is weird), you can read their interview with members of the band, here.

This announcement is (not so) coincidentally arriving a week before the DVD release of the band’s final two shows in London. No word yet on when new music will surface, but keep checking UTG and we’ll be sure to fill you in as details surface.
