REST IN PEACE: Patrice O’Neal (1969-2011)

Opie And Anthony are reporting comedian Patrice O’Neal has passed away at the age of 41.

According to the reports Patrice passed Monday night, just over a month after suffering a stroke. He was a regular guest on O&A, as well a recurring cast member on series such as The Office and Chappelle Show. He was also featured on The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen.

Patrice was beloved by many members of the UTG staff and our thoughts are with his family and friends. The world lost a great man last night, but his comedy will live on. Rest in peace.

And everyone at the Charlie Sheen roast said he would die from diabetes.

  3. There were times I wished he’d shut the hell up and let someone else speak, but damn – I didn’t mean for him to die. RIP Patrice – you’ll be missed.

A friend of mine wanted me to go to a comedy club in NYC with him to see Patrice perform.  I bailed with some lame excuse only to be woken up at 1AM by a very angry man on the phone asking me what was more important than seeing his show!  My friend had met Patrice after the show, told him we were big fans and Patrice told him to get me on the phone so he could make fun of me!  I really wish I would have gone but he made me laugh from miles away.  Rest in peace.
