Legendary 90’s rock group The Afghan Whigs have announced plans to reunite for two performances in 2012.

Announced just this morning, the performances will take place in London (May 27) and Asbury Park, New Jersey (September 22) as part of I’ll Be Your Mirror events. You can view full lineups for these events, as well as ticket information, by following this link.

Originally splitting in 2001, Afghan Whigs have been largely quiet outside of a brief 2006 reunion which resulted in only two new recordings (both found on their retrospective, Unbreakable). No word yet as to whether or not the group will enter the studio again, but rest assured we will update you if they do. Stay tuned!
