Ben Folds Five have officially entered the studio to begin recording their first album together since 1999’s The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner.
News of the group’s recording endeavor broke earlier today when frontman Ben Folds tweeted the following message:
It’s happening fo sho – Day 1 in studio with Robert and Darren through March #NewBenFoldsFiveRecord
The tweet included a photo of the group in the studio, which you can view after the jump.
Few details are currently available about Ben Folds Five’s new material, but a tweet posted shortly after the one posted above mentioned plans for a Spring release. UTG is investigating further and will keep you updated as this story develops.
