Emo pioneers Rites of Spring had members that would later go on to join post-hardcore pioneer band Fugazi, and will always be remembered as one of the first emo bands (as well as naming a band after a Stravinsky ballet, if that’s your thing.) Now, Dischord Records are releasing their original Six Song Demo on 10″, CD, and download.
The demos were originally recorded at Ian MacKaye’s Inner Ear Studio. Considering they were never formally released to the public, this will be the first time the masses can really hear the sound as it started. You can order it now through Dischord’s webstore on CD, download, or 10″.
