Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello have told Rolling Stone that they expect their next album to come out in May of 2013. The album, which won’t be produced by Rick Rubin but instead by his assistant Andrew Sheps, has a tentative title of Pura Vida Conspiracy. It will be their first full album stateside since 2010’s Trans-Continental Hustle.
It should be noted that singer Eugene Hütz hasn’t acted in a film since 2008, either. Given how much time it’s been since they released a new project, the release comes with some expectations. Let’s hope it lives up to their good (but strange) earlier work. We’ll keep you updated here at UTG as more information comes out.
