VH1 Divas finally premiered on television last night following weeks of promotional efforts focusing on the appearance of Adam Lambert as the 2012 host. Well, Adam not only did a fantastic job hosting the mega-event, he also decided to join in on the fun (hard to believe, I know).
At some point last night, Adam Lambert stepped back from his hosting duties to perform a cover of Madonna’s “Ray Of Light” in honor of the pop singer’s legendary career. He started off a bit rough, and it definitely takes a bit to adjust to a man handling such an iconic single, but I dare say he does it justice by the time the performance comes to a close. You can stream the televised event and decide for yourself after the jump.
Lambert’s new album, Trespassing, is available now.
