Owl City Cancel Madison Square Garden Appearance

Owl City have unfortunately announced via their Facebook page that they will not be performing tonight at Madison Square Garden with Maroon 5 due to a vocal injury that Adam is currently recovering from. You can read a full statement from the band by checking below the jump.

The band has not indicated whether they will be canceling any of their other upcoming shows, but they have quite a few of them coming up in in the next several weeks so hopefully Adam recovers fully otherwise we might see more cancellations in the near future.

Hi everyone. It pains me to write this more than I can express, but we need to cancel our set at Madison Square Garden tonight.

After doing some damage to my voice over the past few shows, I’ve been ordered by doctors not to perform tonight in order to prevent any further harm while their treatment takes effect. I’m so sorry to disappoint anyone who is coming tonight, and upset that I won’t be able to share in an amazing night at MSG with Maroon 5 and Neon Trees.

I hope to be cleared in time to perform for tomorrow’s show in Manchester, but will report any further updates to everyone.
