New Beyonce Hits The Net; UTG Left Confused And Amused

Let me be clear up front that we have no idea what this release is connected to or why it hit the net on St. Patricks Day 2013, but new it is Beyonce and that alone is more than enough to warrant a post in our minds.

It has been a minute since we heard new material from Beyonce. Excluding her contribution to the new Destiny’s Child material that surfaced in January, Beyonce has been leading a relatively quiet life since the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January 2012. No one can blame her, of course, but that doesn’t mean the pop music community has suffered any less in her absence. Now she is back and, frankly, things have gotten a bit strange.

Arriving online earlier today, “Bow Down / I Been On” is seemingly a mashup of two new Beyonce tracks, at least one of which is rumored to be produced by Hit-Boy (“Bow Down”). The first is a sassy, diva-laced sound off to everyone who may have forgotten how great Beyonce truly is, while the other features distorted/slow-mo vocals rapping about living a lengthy and luxurious lifestyle. Neither track fits the sound we last heard from Beyonce, nor do either play with enough replay value to lead us to believe they may be future singles, but it’s hard to deny the immediate happiness that comes from knowing Beyonce is just as fierce as ever and that is exactly what you hear on this material. Also, it probably goes without saying that the phase “Bow down, bitches” will be trending in no time. You can stream the track(s?) below.

Beyonce has yet to reveal the eventual destination of this track (or tracks), but rest assured we’re refreshing our social feeds for updates. Until then, comment below and let us know your thoughts on Bey’s new material.
