Gucci Mane may be incarcerated, but it’s pretty hard to hate on his hustle. From mixtapes, to videos, and his recent appearance in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, the 33-year old rapper is almost always on his grind (when not making headlines for assaulting women, of course). Being behind bars would stop many in his position, but thanks to a diligent camp Gucci remains in our headlines today thanks to release of his official video for “Nothin On Ya.”

Let’s be honest: It is probably no coincidence that “Nothin On Ya” is being released the day after Gucci is flooded with negative press in light of his incarceration, but for the sake of trying to support an artist so clearly unable to help themselves we’re going to run with it as if it’s simply our lucky day.

The visuals for “Nothin On Ya” don’t stray far from performance sequences and club life, but it’s hard to argue such an approach isn’t perfectly fitting for the song. Gucci and guest vocalist Wiz Khalifa smoke weed, walk in slow motion, and rap while standing beside girls who probably thought modeling would be more glamorous than appearing in ridiculously lit music videos. No word yet whether or not Gucci has finished recording Trap House 3, but the album currently has a release date of July 2. On the off chance he hasn’t, his current legal troubles may force that date to change.
