Kelly Clarkson Celebrates Spring By Recording Christmas Album

A little sarcasm never hurt anyone, right?

Christmas is many months away, and while I’d rather not think of the advertising juggernaut that precedes it, the truth of the matter is planning for those monstrous promotional campaigns usually starts around this time (if not earlier) every year. Details on all the big sales will obviously be under wraps until November, but the entertainment that will come with the holiday season is another story altogether.

One stocking stuffer you can begin adding to gift lists for 2013 is Kelly Clarkson’s forthcoming Christmas album, which according to information the singer revealed in a recent chat with fans, is currently in production. Few additional details were revealed, but the record will feature production work, in some capacity or other, by Greg Kurstin and Ronnie Dunn of country duo Brooks & Dunn.

News of Clarkson’s holiday plans coincidentally arrived online the same morning she’s set to return to the American Idol stage (April 11). We’ll have video from her appearance in the days ahead.
