STREAM: Beyoncé and Andre 3000 Cover Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black”

A unique cover version of the Amy Winehouse classic, “Back To Black,” featuring Beyoncé and Andre 3000, has appeared online. The rendition is slated to be featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming movie, The Great Gatsby. Mark Ronson, who produced the original Winehouse version, first premiered the song on an episode of EastVillageRadio.

NME reports that Ronson said the collaboration was a “wonderful take on our song,” and that he was “flattered and honoured, I know Amy would be too.” While Ronson was impressed with the two superstars’ reworking, Amy Winehouse’s father wasn’t too pleased. Mitch Winehouse stated, “I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it. They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.”
