Nicolas Cage To Star In Film About Real Life Mass Disappearance

In the 50’s dozens of people mysteriously disappeared from a hotel in Pennsylvania and only one man can solve the case. That man is Nicolas Cage.

Arrow in the Head is reporting that Cage is set to star in rookie director Kellie Madison’s new thriller, Hotel 33, which is based on a true story. You read that right, over thirty people really did enter a hotel and then mysteriously were never heard from again. The plot synopsis follows:

The film is based on the presumed event surrounding the disappearance of 32 people on the opening night of the Grand Hotel in Williamsport, PA in 1953. While Detective Kaminsky (Nicolas Cage) is investigating the event, four teenagers break into the now-abandoned hotel for a night of festivities. Things soon go awry, and Detective Kaminsky now has to turn his attentions to discovering the mysterious happenings surrounding the strange disappearance of two of the four teenagers.

Spooky stuff indeed. Of course being “based on a true story” means that some things will be changed from the real story to fit better into the film format. Those interested in the facts can visit this website or this Facebook page dedicated to the disappearances.

Hopefully this debut directorial effort from Kellie Madison will get the best performance out of Cage, who is easily the greatest actor in all of Hollywood. I personally expect no less than six on screen freakouts from the man, and will definitely be checking this one out when it finally hits theaters. Production is scheduled to start in the fall of this year.

I’m from Williamsport, PA. Nothing in the story is true, so you don’t have to worry about them bending facts. There’s never been a hotel called “The Grand Hotel”, or any mass disappearances. The fb pages, fake news articles and interviews are all just part of them apparently thinking the people of this town are too stupid to know that none of this ever happened. They’re being incredibly disrespectful of this town and its residents (most of whom have grown up around here for generations).
