This Old Ghost’s Family Room is an underrated 2013 release that should be a contender on many AOTY top 10 lists. It already is on mine at least. “Faster And Faster” is one of its stand-out tracks and it just got an unexpected remix treatment from Gregory Dunn’s project, Ansible. Dunn originally mixed Family Room, too!

Dunn stripped “Faster and Faster” of its catchy, indie folk rock elements and gave it an ambient/pop makeover. Before listening to the reworked track, I was trying to imagine in my mind how a remix to this would work, and basically, I thought it wouldn’t. I’m currently eating my thoughts, though, as well as tapping my foot because Ansible has proved me wrong with a stellar take on one of my favorite songs from Family Room. After hearing this, I would be excited to hear an entire Ansible Family Room remixes release.
