Rise Records’ signees Like Moths To Flames are gearing up to release their Sophomore album in a month, and today fans get their first taste of the band’s latest effort.

Debuting earlier this afternoon via lyric video, “The Blackout” proves there is more Like Moths To Flames than their debut may have lead you to believe. The crushing-yet-simplistic breakdown driven song structures have been replaced with more intricate and energetic songwriting that pulls you in rather than relying on trends to do the trick. Longtime fans need not worry though, because the song’s second half is more than sufficiently heavy enough to make your eardrums rattle. You can stream the song at the end of this post.
