SH!T BRICKS: First Trailer For ‘The Lego Movie’ Is Actually Pretty Cool

When word first broke that Lego would be taking their ever-successful colored bricks to the big screen, many, including UTG, shuddered with visions of the potential CGI horror that lie ahead. A short while ago the first poster and trailer found their way online, and I am happy to report The Lego Movie actually looks pretty fun.

Headed to theaters in 2014 with an all-star voice cast lead by Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation), The Lego Movie aims to tell the biggest tale about tiny bricks ever told. A force from outside the world of Lego threatens the universe’s very existence, and it’s up to one special community member to rally the diverse world of Lego in order to save everything they love (including themselves). Along the way a number of notable pop culture icons who have previously been Lego-ized (and some who have not) make appearances, but I don’t want to ruin the fun of the trailer by telling you all their names up front. Click below and enjoy the first trailer for The Lego Movie.

Though it is way too early to tell, it looks like The Lego Movie may in fact turn out to be a fun film. The numerous video games released by Lego have performed well, so I see no reason why they cannot translate that skill with humor and storytelling into something bigger. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the trailer.
