Iron And Wine Perform Two Songs On Kimmel

iron and wine 2013

Last night, Sam Beam and the backing musicians who bring Iron and Wine to life hit the stage on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show for a two-song performance that still has us feeling warm fuzzies today. Thanks to Youtube, you can now watch both performances right here on UTG.

The first appearance on Kimmel for Iron and Wine since the May release of Ghost On Ghost, Sam Beam and crew performed “The Desert Babbler” and “Grace For Saints And Ramblers.” The band accompanying Beam may be the largest he has ever appeared with, and the sound they create together is simply moving. If your heart doesn’t skip a beat or two watching the videos at the end of this post, it may be time to check in with your doctor.

If you enjoy these performances and for some reason have waited to purchase Ghost On Ghost, drop everything and head to your local record store (or digital retailer) as soon as possible. It’s an album unlike anything you’ll hear elsewhere in 2013, and I guarantee it brightens any day.
