REST IN PEACE: ‘Glee’ Star Cory Monteith (1982-2013)

We hate to lose anyone from the entertainment world, but there’s an undeniable added depth to the pain every time someone young leaves this planet.

According to TMZ, Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room this morning. He was 31.

Authorities are unsure at this time exactly what lead to Monteith’s death, but police on scene described the body they found as “clearly deceased.” Cops say he was in the room last night with some friends before the group hit the town, but camera show he returned to his room alone. When the time to checkout came and went, staff for the hotel went to check on Monteith, and that is when the body was discovered.

Monteith will forever be remembered for his role as Finn Hudson on the hit Fox series about a high school glee club. He voluntarily checked himself into a treatment center back in April, admitting he had substance abuse issues. It was his second time in treatment.

We picked one of our favorite Monteith performances to aide us in celebrating his life. You can view the video below.
