Jimmy Fallon Reunites Jesse and the Rippers

If you needed any other reason to love Jimmy Fallon, look no further. The man who will soon relieve the world of Jay Leno reunited one of the best bands Friday night on Late Night; Jesse and the Rippers.

Those who are old enough to remember TGIF, or who have fallen deep into Full House marathons on Nick at Nite know all too well who this band is. For those who are clueless as to why this reunion is a big deal – Jesse and the Rippers is the band that John Stamos’ Uncle Jesse was in on the show. Even with a ’90s mullet, Stamos stole hearts when he strapped on that guitar and sang cover tunes; most notably their rendition of Beach Boys’ “Forever.”

Fallon brought Stamos and Co. together for one night only to sing a medley of all their um, hits. Yeah, we’ll go with that. They even tossed in the Full House theme song. Stamos rocked his Uncle Jesse hair while former cast-mate Bob Saget sat in the audience and his onscreen wife, Lori Loughlin, showed up at the end.

This isn’t the first time Fallon has reunited a TV band. He also got The Dreams back together. They were from California Dreams. It was the more musical version of Saved by the Bell; not to discredit Zack Attack though. Hey, Fallon, now that’s a band we need to see once more.
