The twisting tale of the Paranormal Activity franchise continues to grow this morning with reports of new developments on two of the series’ long-rumored projects.

According to a new article on Deadline, Paranormal Activity 5 has been given an October 24, 2014 release date. This is different than the previously rumored January 2014 date, and this morning the confirmation of another franchise project offered explanation for the confusion.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, which is the Latino focus spin-off previously known as The Oxnard Tapes, is now expected to be released January 3, 2014. Details on the film are slim at this time, but it is believed to be based at least somewhat around the events that took place in the post credits sequence to Paranormal Activity 4. We have included that scene below for reference.

Whether or not these dates will change again is anyone’s guess, but it looks like we can definitely plan on seeing two more Paranormal Activity films in the new year. Are you excited?
