Gunplay Keeps It Real With “Drop Da Tint” Video

The Maybach Music Group gets a lot of hate for boasting about lifestyles they don’t necessarily embody in real life. A lot of this stems from the story of Rick Ross, but it has since spread to everyone associated with the hit-making label, including Gunplay. After today, however, I doubt anyone will question his authenticity again.

As if pulling a gun on his accountant was not proof enough that Gunplay lives life by his own set of rules, his new video for “Drop Da Tint” is sure to raise red flags with conservative groups coast to coast. The song, much like the video, is all about celebrating Gunplay’s willing and readiness to participate in drive-by shootings. The chorus, which is admittedly catchy, uses “Drop da tint” as a way to reference rolling down the windows while rolling up on unsuspecting victims. This idea is brought to life in the visuals, and you can view the clip at the end of this post.

Gunplay made headlines not long ago for releasing an entire mixtape recording during house arrest (for the aforementioned “gunplay” with his accountant). We’re not sure what he has planned next as far as solo releases are planned, but you can bet he’ll make at least one appearance on MMG’s Self Made Vol 3, which drops mid-September.
