Maybach Music Group member Wale has released a new single, entitled “No Pain No Gain.”

Hitting the net over the last twenty-four hours through sources that remain unknown, “No Pain No Gain” is the first new track to surface from Wale since the June release of his album, The Gifted. The song is taken from an upcoming documentary on NFL player Robert Griffin III, aka RGIII, and can be streamed at the end of this post.

The thought of a song created for a documentary may lead you to believe it somewhat plays into the life of RGIII, but more than anything “No Pain No Gain” is a song about overcoming the struggles you face in life. It’s not hard to imagine how the quick-paced clip will be edited together with RGIII montage footage, but it’s perfectly passable entertainment for those who don’t care about football (like myself) as well.

Wale is not done with new music just yet. Next month he will add a handful of verses to Self Made 3, the latest Maybach Music Group compilation. Stay tuned for updates.
