When The Amazing Spider-Man rolled into theaters a few years ago no less than fifteen minutes of the film had been released through various previews and clips in advance of the film’s release. The formula was the butt of many jokes from critics, but it paid off with a total box office take well over $100 million. Now Amazing Spider-Man 2 is en route, and already we have three whole minutes of footage to enjoy.
Tonight, a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 debuted during the Super Bowl. That clip, which highlights the various enemies in the upcoming film, can be found below. Moments after that video made its way online an even bigger clip was posted, this time featuring over three minutes of self-dubbed ‘sizzle’ footage. Most of it has been seen in past teasers, but to see it all strung together feels awfully revealing. You can also view that clip at the end of this post.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in theaters May 2. If Gwen Stacy is indeed going to die, it certainly won’t be from the fall we saw teased earlier this week. Would you kill off another person close to Spidey? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
