It’s been just under a year since My Chemical Romance confirmed that they’d be hanging it up, but the band still has one last bit of unreleased material to give fans. “Fake Your Death,” the one of the last songs the band recorded together, will be released as a single next Monday, February 17, on iTunes. The track was previously confirmed as the opening song on the band’s upcoming greatest hits release, May Death Never Stop You, due out on March 24 via Warner Bros Records.
I’m reeling in anticipation to hear what the song sounds like. I’ve always loved how My Chemical Romance changed up their sound from album to album while still keeping their signature style intact. You can read a tweet from the band confirming the news after the jump.
