Seth Rogen And Evan Goldberg Team Up For Sega Vs. Nintendo Movie, ‘Console Wars’

With the success of Wreck-It Ralph and The Lego Movie, one would assume Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg would be writing and directing an animated take on the story of Sega and Nintendo battle in Console Wars…only they’re not. The team behind This Is The End plan on making this a serious, behind-the-scenes movie about the video game world.

This will be a gamer’s version of The Social Network with Rogen and Goldberg bringing Blake Harris’ book by the same name to the big screen. That makes sense since The Social Network producer, Scott Rudin, is attached to this project as well. Harris’ Console Wars recounts the days when Sega was just a little upstart trying to make its way in an industry dominated by Nintendo.

Rogen and Goldberg will also produce a separate documentary on the subject as well. No word yet on when Console Wars hits theaters.
