As if you needed another reason to love Pentimento, the best thing to come out of upstate New York in the last decade has just released a new video that is sure to make you hunger for their next tour.

Premiering on Hot Topic at 3pm EST today, the video for “Just Friends” features a compilation of live footage shot at the Waiting Room venue in Buffalo, New York. The band plays their hearts out and the fans give back just as much, with cheers and crowd-surfing throughout. You can view the video below:

As much as I love this video, the true treat is having another excuse to spin “Just Friends.” Every song off 2013’s Inside The Sea EP was a keeper, but there is something extra special about the emotional gut-punch contained in the lyrics to this song that turns every hopeless romantic into a sucker for pain.

I guess that has always been the beauty of Pentimento’s music. There is something in almost every song that tears at emotional wounds most would rather ignore, and it’s in exploring those feelings that their best lines and musical moments come to life.
