‘Friday The 13th’ Gets Another Reboot

There are a few things pop culture won’t let go of – ironically “Let It Go,” the immortal Cher and apparently the Friday the 13th franchise. How many times can that masked murderer walk too slowly after teens? The answer…however many times movie studios want. Alas, Jason Vorhees will rise again as Paramount is looking to bring him back very soon.

Nothing is known about the next chapter in Vorhees’ adventures, but The Wrap was smart to mention Paramount may lean towards the whole “found footage” angle that’s all the rage in horror right now. It makes sense to go with what sells, but also because David Bruckner, who was involved in V/H/S, is attached.

The last time we saw a Friday the 13th on the big screen was in 2009. So is it a little too soon to reboot? We won’t know until it comes out on its obvious date, Friday, March 13, 2015.
