UTG TV: The White Buffalo On Patriotism, Religion, And His Concept Album

Last Friday, Chuck Ragan and the Camaraderie, The White Buffalo, and Jonny Two Bags performed in New York City’s Irving Plaza. Unsurprisingly, all of the performancse were heartfelt and electric. Chuck Ragan only rolls with the best. We’ll be posting photos from the show in the coming days.

Fortunately, UTG TV was able to sit down with an artist we’ve been keeping our eye on, The White Buffalo. An incredible singer/songwriter from the West Coast, Jake Smith pours every ounce of emotion into his writing. His newest album Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways takes you on a ride spanning the realms of love and war.

In this exclusive interview, Smith postulates the development of his concept album. We consider the extent of which nationalism, the foundation of family, and speculation of a higher power contributed to his writing process.

Check out below the jump to experience the stern yet gently spoken man known as The White Buffalo.

You can buy Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways on iTunes now.
