In accord with the new tradition of trendy pop acts and hip rappers hooking up for fresh takes on new tracks, Lykke Li has released a version of “No Rest for the Wicked” featuring some heavy lifting from A$AP Rocky.
Rocky hits the track early and late, introducing it before disappearing until his major verse at the two-and-a-half minute mark. It’s an interesting union, as “No Rest for the Wicked” isn’t tonally the most amenable to a rap verse-adding remix. That’s for the listener to decide, though – give it a shot after the jump.
Lykke Li’s new album, I Never Learn, drops May 6 via Atlantic.
