We’re so busy defending pop-punk and reviving emo that we rarely address the great crop of ’90s-influenced bands out there. Throw Canada’s The Hunters in that last batch – their brand of rock channels a great ’96 bar band (that’s, you know, actually good) with doses of Daytrader, Foo Fighters, and Rise Against making appearances.
Today we have the band’s new jam “It Had To Be You,” straight from their upcoming full-length Art Electric. The track’s shifts between jammy goodness and high-energy rock work wonders – damn good tune.
Grab another beer and pre-order the LP via Black Numbers, due 5/13. You’ll want to catch the band on their Canadian tour as well.
