Charli XCX Releases “Boom Clap” Music Video

Charli XCX has found plenty of success on the pop charts over the last year by collaborating with likes of Ariana Grande and Icona Pop, but for whatever reason US audiences have yet to give her the slew of solo hits we at UTG believe she deserves. That may soon change, however, thanks to the singer’s Fault In Our Stars contribution, “Boom Clap.”

This morning, Charli XCX released the official video for “Boom Clap.” The clip features a compilation of footage from the upcoming film The Fault In Our Stars with a series of performance pieces featuring Charli that are full of life and color. The plot of Fault is one riddled with heartache, which doesn’t exactly pair with the feel-good vibes of the track, but whoever edited this clip found a way to make the upcoming drama play well with the single. You can view the video below:

The soundtrack for The Fault In Our Stars arrives in stores tomorrow, June 3. The film opens this Friday.
