Fans may still be waiting on news regarding a proper follow-up to 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, but earlier today UTG learned that those who believe in the musical power of Modest Mouse will have a chance to see the group live later this year.
According to a press release sent to outlets earlier today, Modest Mouse will be spending the majority of July and just a good portion of August criss-crossing the continental United States with Broken Social Scene leader Kevin Drew. The tour culminates in NYC with Brand New, which music fans will no doubt remember reading about earlier in the year. You can view the band’s full itinerary below.
It would be nice to think this road activity is a sign that Modest Mouse have completed work on their next studio album, but at this point it is unclear when new music will surface. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
