Texas In July Stream “Broken Soul” Featuring New Vocalist J.T. Cavey

After a short time out of the spotlight, metalcore outfit Texas In July are returning to headlines this afternoon with the release of a new single titled “Broken Soul.” The track, which is the first song to surface featuring newly recruited vocalist J.T. Cavey, premiered earlier today alongside a promotion video that can be viewed at the end of this post.

It has been a minute since I dabbled in the world of Texas In July, but I think it’s safe to say the addition of Cavey has allowed the band to delve deeper into the world of bone-crushing hard rock. His voice pairs well with the band’s riff-friendly sound, and as far as “Broken Soul” is concerned, it seems like a perfectly fine way to introduce his talent without veering too far from what fans remember from the group’s previous work. Whether or not everyone else agrees is an entirely different story.

Texas In July will release their fourth studio album later this year, and you can bet your ass “Broken Soul” will be included on the track list. Comment below and let us know if you approve of Cavey’s contributions to the band.
