Pink Floyd fans, rejoice! It has been confirmed by two sources that a new Pink Floyd album will be released in the foreseeable future. Polly Samson, the wife of Pink Floyd vocalist/guitarist David Gilmour, tweeted that the band will be releasing a new album this October titled Endless River. The album will consist of recording sessions from 1994 which include music by the late Rick Wright. You can read Polly’s tweet below the break.
As if that wasn’t enough confirmation, Durga McBroom-Hudson (backup singer for Pink Floyd in the ’90s) posted a photo with her, two other singers and David Gilmour in a recording studio. She also states there is a new album coming out. That photo is below as well.
Even though these are songs from two decades ago, this is still very exciting news. Diehard fans will love to hear some “new” songs especially since Rick Wright will be on them.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful.
