Least Metal Moment Of The Week: Betraying The Martyrs Cover “Let It Go”

The cover no one ever asked for has been brought to life and delivered to the internet by one of Sumerian Records’ bands with a new album to sell.

Betraying The Martyrs have spent plenty of time on the front page of UTG over the last couple of years, but it seems the guys are starting to feel the pressure regarding sales for their upcoming album because earlier today they surprised fans everywhere by releasing a cover (and music video) for the Frozen hit “Let It Go.” Yes, the same song your Disney-obsessed younger sibling has been singing for months now has a metal version that comes complete with a decidedly heavy breakdown. You can stream the song and view its official video below:

Betraying The Martyrs will release their new album, Phantom, tomorrow. It’s an incredibly solid release that deserves an hour of your time, but I worry this shameless attempt at generating viral attention may cheapen the rest of the band’s hard work. But maybe it’s better than what their labelmates in Upon A Burning Body pulled.
